Alina Milan has a diverse and extensive background in fitness, movement, dance and drama. She studied dance and drama at Foothill College, Canada College and Stanford University. She has also studied dance with the Martha Graham Company, the Jose Limon Dancers, Margaret Jenkins, the Joe Goode Dance Theatre, and the Cumulus Dance Company.
Following her passionate love of movement Alina studied numerous types of dance and movement, including ballet, hip-hop, modern jazz, belly dancing, West African dance and yoga. Alina has worked as a professional dancer and choreographer with Generation of Motion, a modern dance company in San Francisco. She has enjoyed teaching many types of classes including modern dance, aerobics stretch and tone, floor-bar, pilates mat classes and weight management. She has also taught gymnastics and dance to children.
Certified in personal training through AFAA and in the method of Joseph Pilates, Alina has more than 20 years of experience as a personal trainer.
Alina’s love affair with the “art of movement” has taken her in many directions and continues to grow through training and experience, but it’s the joy in doing this work that keeps her coming back for more!
